A Beautiful Hindu Garden Wedding….
When I first got the call from an old friend to tell me her daughter was getting married in their garden, I was excited because my old friend has fantastically eclectic taste and I LOVE doing events in her little garden. Then I learned that the marriage would be a Hindu ceremony and the excitement started to really build.
Entering into the garden guests were greeted by Buddhas festooned in Roses…
Welcome into the front courtyard for the ceremony…
Garlands of traditional Hindu style orange Marigolds & Jasmine were imported from India
The ceremony itself was under a canopy of Wisteria tented with silk…
The sun made an appearance highlighting the intense colours of the flowers…just breathtaking.
The Marigolds from India are huge!
Orchids, Roses, Crocosmia, and Garlic are arranged in a mirrored vessel
Everywhere you turn…another beautiful statue.
Love this little seating area in the front courtyard…
Then through the house…
This is called a Glamellia…they first became popular in the 1940s and are made up of hundreds of Rose Petals to create one giant blossom.
And into the backyard where the mood was more serene with hundreds of candles and thousands of Rose petals scenting the air….
The Couple’s Monograms made of chartreuse button Mums float in the pool…
Love this antique Tibetan door and Buddha that are a permanent fixture of the backyard
and more Glamellias float in the pool…these are my new favourite thing!
This may just be my favourite wedding ever. (But I say that after almost every wedding…ha!!!)
